How to generate API Key?

Generating an API key is a crucial step for integrating and utilizing the features provided by Kalp Studio. API keys are used to authenticate requests associated with your project, ensuring secure and streamlined access to various services.

Access the API Gateway

1. Log in to your Kalp Studio account.

2. Navigate to the API Gateway:

• On the left sidebar, you will see a menu with several options such as Dashboard, Smart Contract, API Gateway, Transaction Monitoring, Subscription, API Key Generation, and Settings.

• Click on API Gateway to access the API management section.

Create a New API Key

1. Click on the "Create API Auth Key" button:

• If you have not created any API keys yet, the screen will be blank.

• Click on the black button that says + Create API Auth Key.

Fill in the API Key Details

1. Enter the Key Name and Description:

• A pop-up window will appear, prompting you to enter details for the new API key.

• Provide a Key Name for easy identification. For example, you can name it "Swaggy M."

• Optionally, you can add a Key Description to describe the purpose or scope of the key.

Create the API Key: 

After filling in the details, click on the Create Now button to generate the key. 

4. Manage Your API Keys

• Once created, your API keys will be listed in the API Key Generation section.

• Here, you can see details such as the Key Name, Last Used date, API Auth Key, Date Created, and Status.

• You can activate or deactivate keys using the toggle switch under the Status column.
